Forensic pathologists face personal and professional challenges in a moody, tense thriller that moves from the crime scene to the lab.。扒手鹏（李子雄 饰）和强（郑浩南 饰）因为和为了凑钱与聋哑女友慧心（罗美薇 饰）结婚的飞贼伟（郭富城 饰）同时盯上了一条项链而不打不相识，项链最终被当地黑道小头目抢走，而三人也结为异性兄弟。因感警察不会被黑道欺负，三人投考警员，而最终只有鹏得以录用，虽然鹏渐渐疏远了两位兄弟，但仍依靠强、伟提供的线索，鹏及时保护了刚正不阿的黄探长（午马 饰），在警队脱颖而出，跟进一步与贪腐的上司合作，除掉了不配合收黑钱的黄探长。另一方面，强为了搭救被黑道绑架的伟，失手杀人，并向鹏自首入狱。不久强出狱，发现女友已被鹏夺走，三兄弟关系的裂痕愈发明显，而鹏阴毒的性格也开始渐渐显露……。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
