该剧根据张宝瑞同名长篇小说改编，讲述了在上世纪五十年代末，国家组织一批核科学家前往某核武器试验基地的过程中遭遇敌特分子破坏，敌我双方围绕着核专家的护送任务在列车上展开了一次次惊心动魄的殊死角斗的故事。。讲述渡念师夫妇利用自己的心理学知识为客户进行催眠，帮助对方解决心理问题，然而在接到一个神秘邀请后，渡念师夫妇陷入了诡异的作家七宝设下的迷局，意识到事情并不简单后，渡念师夫妇决定追根究底，彻底查明真相，不曾想却越陷越深......。World War I is coming to its end.
