曹警司为了使过气黑帮头子戴哥大做警方污点证人，指证黑帮头子巫二器的罪行，设计逼犀牛皮、大生地、花塔饼、罗汉果等四位有福星之称的私家侦探做卧底，曹又派他的女儿高级帮办Banana应征做女佣人暗中保护他们。四福星入狱救出戴哥大，同往找他的女儿Mina，适值巫二器正欲迷奸她，他们把她救出，戴哥大感激四福星，答应做污点证人指证巫二器的罪恶，但给巫二器想尽一切办法开脱了罪名。曹警司又安排Banana诈被巫杀死，激发起四福星替她报仇的斗志。片末，四福星和警方一起逮捕了巫二器，把他领导的匪帮全部消灭。。罗伯特·德尼罗饰演两个角色：Vito Genovese和Frank Costello，两个不同的意大利黑道家族的老大，Genovese在1957年试图刺杀Costello，没杀了，但也导致了后者受伤并让出家族老大的位置。。Taking on from where we left off, Dedh Ishqiya discovers yet another escapade of Khalujan (Naseeruddin Shah) and Babban (Arshad Warsi), a poetic journey underlined with revenge, drama and deception.
